The village of Strathyre and the pods are located on the A84. Parking for the pods is just off the main road between the former Munro Hotel and Airlie House. If you are coming from the South, this will be on your right just after you pass the village shop which is on your left. If you are coming from the North the car park is on your left. After you park, walk to the top of the car park and take a right at the electricity pylon. The pods are thirty metres down the path.

Please note, during the winter the path can be dark at night. We suggest having a phone / torch available if arriving when it is dark.

The local pub, The White Stag, should be open every day for drinks and bar snacks. Please contact them directly to enquire about meals/dinner.

The Village Shop opens 8.30-5pm Mon-Fri and 8.30-3pm Sat and Sun.

The Broch Cafe is located in the village and provides delicious hot and cold food and drinks. Their hours vary seasonally, so please take a look at their website (https://brochcafe.com/) for more information.

There are eateries and shops in Callander, Lochearnhead and Killin. Mhor 84 is 2 miles down the cycle path or road, and is always a fabulous place to eat or grab a coffee.

Each pod has a small double bed with full bedding provided.

Bedding for the sofa bed can be found under the double bed. If you use this please leave it on the couch or bed when you check out.

A large main and guest towel are also provided as part of the stay, and a hair dryer can be found under the double bed.

The wifi code for the pod can be found inside our booklet in the pod but will also be sent in a message prior to arrival.

The pod also contains a small kitchenette with pots, pans, cooker, toaster, microwave, cooking tools, utensils, oil, salt, pepper, refrigerator, coffee, tea, sugar, and milk.

The pods have two small bins located inside the pod and three large bins outside.

You can dispose of small waste inside the pods. For additional waste please use the three large bins outside of Alba. The bins have signs for glass, plastic/cardboard, and general waste. Please make sure to sort them into the correct bin.

Each pod has an electric heater on the wall when you walk in. We will leave the heater on for you when you arrive.

‍ *Please note that we are entering the warmer months here in Scotland so we will not always leave the heaters on. Please feel free to pop them on when you arrive as needed.

The controls for the heater can be found under a flap on the top right that flips open. The numbers displayed indicate the desired temperature in degrees Celsius.

If your pod is too hot or too cold for you, please feel free to adjust the temperature using the up and down buttons. We suggest somewhere between 18-22C during the colder months.

If you are hiking the Rob Roy Way and using a drop off service please make sure to indicate to your provider what pod you are staying in so your bag can be left in the correct location. Bags will be left for you either inside the pod (if we are around when bags are dropped) or inside the boot store located right outside your pod.

If you are on a local cycle route a bike store is located at the back of the pod. Each one has a lock that is the same combination as your pod.

Each pod has an electric shower. Please note the switch on for this is the red switch next to the bathroom light by the double bed. Simply switch this on before using the unit inside the shower.

Each pod also has it’s own interent. Pod Alba has a main unit which allows everything to work! Please be careful to not turn off the interent switch by the door as this may turn off access for both pods.
